Each rank corresponds to your child's school grade, from kindergarten through fifth grade, with specific handbooks, adventures, and achievements designed for their developmental stage.
Kindergarten Cub Scouts at Pack 314 work toward the Lion badge through exciting adventures in the Lion Handbook. Lions explore the world around them with parent or guardian participation, completing 6 required adventures and choosing from 16 elective adventures. Perfect introduction to scouting for our youngest members in Palmetto Bay!
First Grade Tigers at Pack 314 earn their Tiger badge through hands-on adventures that build confidence and curiosity. Using the Tiger Handbook, they complete 6 required adventures and select from 20 exciting elective adventures. Tigers continue the parent-partnership model while developing independence and scouting skills.
Second Grade Wolves at Pack 314 develop greater independence while working toward their Wolf badge. The Wolf Handbook guides them through 6 required adventures plus 20 elective adventures that emphasize outdoor skills, community involvement, and personal development. A crucial step in their scouting journey!
Third Grade Bears at Pack 314 tackle more challenging adventures while earning their Bear badge. The Bear Handbook provides 6 required adventures and 20 elective adventures focusing on outdoor exploration, STEM activities, and community service. Bears develop leadership skills and prepare for advanced ranks.
Fourth Grade Webelos ("WE'll BE LOyal Scouts") at Pack 314 work toward their Webelos badge while preparing for the transition to Boy Scouts. The Webelos Handbook includes 6 required adventures and 20 elective adventures emphasizing outdoor skills, leadership development, and community engagement.
Fifth Grade Arrow of Light Scouts at Pack 314 work toward the highest Cub Scout award. Using their dedicated Arrow of Light Handbook, they complete 6 required adventures and 16 elective adventures while preparing for the transition to Boy Scouts. This prestigious rank represents the culmination of their Cub Scout journey.
