Citizenship
Flag Ceremony
Each Pack Meeting begins with a flag ceremony led by our Scouts. Through this simple but meaningful tradition, Scouts show respect for our country, its flag, and the ideals it represents. We also recite the Scout Oath and Scout Law to reinforce the values that guide everything we do.
Growing Responsible Citizens
The Cub Scout program is designed to help young people grow into responsible citizens, leaders, and contributors to their communities. Through adventures, service, and teamwork, Scouts learn to put the Scout Oath into practice and strive to be trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
The flag ceremony serves as a reminder of these values and the commitment each Scout makes to live by them every day. Below is a printable script that we use for our indoor flag ceremony.
